Vacancies:

1.) Head of Zonal Office (Principal Manager)

Location: Zonal Offices in  Imo, Ekiti, Benue, Cross River, Gombe, Sokoto
Industry:  Government
Specialization: Engineering, Legal, Executive / Top Management,
Minimum Qualification: Degree
Required Experience: 10 – 15 years
Competency Requirement and Abilities:
o    Good understanding of the current status of the Nigerian Electricity supply industry and the ongoing reforms in the industry.
o    Excellent understanding of the 2005 EPSR ACT and the Commission’s mandate and functions
o    Ability to keep abreast of all current activities of the Commission.
o    Ability to confidently represent the Commission at the zonal level
o    Ability to facilitate the Commission’s interactions with state government departments and other agencies within the zone.
o    Ability to co-ordinate the development and maintenance of an effective consumer database.
o    Good leadership, organizational, supervision and delegation skills
o    A proactive individual who is able to work without supervision and can deliver on targets.
o    Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex issues with clarity
o    Ability to enforce high standards in ethics and integrity.
o    Good presentation skills and knowledge of Microsoft office packages.
Qualifications and Requirements:
o    A good degree in Law, Engineering, Management or Social Sciences, minimum of a Second Class Lower.
o    Minimum of 14 years post graduation experience in the power industry, Public service or any multinational organization, at least 8 of which must have been at a Manager level.
o    Masters degree or higher professional qualification is a requirement or a plus

2.) Manager (Technical)

Location: Zonal Offices in  Imo, Ekiti, Benue, Cross River, Gombe, Sokoto

Required Experience: 10 – 15 years
Competency Requirement and Abilities:
o    Good understanding of the current status of the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry and the ongoing reforms in the industry.
o    Understanding of the key technical requirements, standards and systems in a deregulated electricity industry.
o    Ability to supervise processes and procedures for monitoring, inspections, tests and certifications.

Qualifications and Requirements:
o    A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division – 2/2) or its equivalent.
o    The Candidate shall also have a minimum of 10 years post qualification experience as a protection/safety/risk or reliability engineer
o    Must be COREN registered Engineer or equivalent from oversea and can be registered with COREN
o    Possession of a Post Graduate Degree is an added advantage

3.)  Analyst-1 (Admin)

Location: Zonal Offices in  Imo, Ekiti, Benue, Cross River, Gombe, Sokoto

Specialization: Accounting / Audit / Tax, Banking / Finance / Insurance,
Minimum Qualification: Degree
Required Experience: 5 – 7 years
Competency Requirement and Abilities:
o    Must know how to prepare weekly financial report of the zonal office.
o    Must be able to keep proper records of financial transactions of the office.
o    Must have the capacity to handle all administrative functions of the zonal office.
o    Ability to multi task

Qualifications and Requirements:
o    A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accountancy, Business Administration or Banking and Finance, second class (Lower division)
o    A minimum of 6 years post graduation working experience in banks or financial institutions, or should have had an uninterrupted working experience in finance and accounts departments of reputable public or private institutions.
o    Possession of a postgraduate qualification and membership of relevant professional association will be an added advantage.

4.) Assistant Manager (Consumer Affairs)

Location: Zonal Offices in  Imo, Ekiti, Benue, Cross River, Gombe, Sokoto

Specialization: Administration & Office Support, Customer Service
Minimum Qualification: Degree
Required Experience: 7 – 10 years
Competency Requirement and Abilities:
o    Ability to update and maintain an effective consumer complaint database
o    Ability to identify, investigate and follow-up on consumer complaints
o    Must be able to provide support using key indicators in tracking the performance of the Electricity Sector in consumer issues and ensuring that the Commission proffers effective regulations.
o    Ability to carry out regular update of consumer protection rights and obligations

Qualifications and Requirements:

o    Experience in customer service is an added advantage.

5.) Secretary / Receptionist

o    Minimum of WASC or Senior School Certificate.
o    An experienced driver with Trade test II (Mechanic/Driving).
